Conducting a Feasibility Study for installation of a 300‐400 kW solar generating capacity in Jamoat Alichur, Murgab region of GBAO.

Goal

To conduct feasibility study for the solar/diesel hybrid electrification of Alichur village in GBAO.

Specific                 objectives

·   Assessment all relevant framework conditions necessary for planning;

·   Proposing various technical solutions and assessing their technical and operational feasibility;

·   Developing a detailed standard design (complete plans and estimates, including performance modeling using an appropriate modeling tool);

·   Obtaining a positive opinion (state expert review) on the final design from the relevant authorities.

Results

·   An analysis of available energy sources (solar and wind), electricity demand, and the capabilities and readiness of future electricity consumers (27 households) in Alichur was conducted (report).

·   A geological and seismological survey of the pre-selected installation site was conducted.  A detailed geological, topographic and seismological report with conclusions and recommendations for the construction of hybrid solar/diesel power plant was developed;

·   An analysis of key regulatory documents on energy resource management in Tajikistan was conducted, and a list of standards was developed that will be applied during the construction and operation of a solar hybrid system in the village of Alichur, Murghab district;

·   Quality of available infrastructure and services has been analysed (report);

·   A final feasibility study report has been developed with detailed technical data and recommendations.
