Goal |
To promote the transformation of Tajikistan's energy sector, in particular the emergence of independent energy entrepreneurs who can offer affordable and sustainable energy products and services to rural populations. |

Specific objectives |
· Conduct a marketing and awareness campaign (MARC) in the Zarafshan Valley on solar technologies and their benefits for households and businesses to address significant knowledge gaps regarding solar technologies, particularly among female-headed households; · Increase private investment in renewable energy sources (RES), with a particular focus on solar power; · Demonstrate to rural populations the most suitable solar photovoltaic systems, solar water heaters (SWH), and other solar-based technologies, thereby increasing their willingness to adopt solar technologies. |

Results |
· An information campaign was conducted in three districts of the Zerafshon Valley, reaching 1,200 people, including 383 women. · 2,000 people were reached through social media campaigns. · A competition on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and the rational use of natural resources was organized and held among participants in the three target districts, with 54 rural residents participating. · Twenty villages without electricity connections were identified and registered in the target districts.. |
