Specific objectives |
· To study the best/optimal option for using solar irrigation pump, which is economically and technically feasible in the Aksu irrigation system. |

Results |
· A feasibility study was conducted for the use of solar energy in the Aksu irrigation system at fourteen target pumping stations. · Based on the analysis of solar potential and water consumption, a detailed design and cost estimate were prepared for a demonstration site for a 1.4 kW solar pump. · Irrigation partners and project beneficiaries located in the NWRM management area conducted exchange visits to the sites where solar irrigation pumps were installed. |
